affiliates4u welcomes LinkShare
This morning we have added LinkShare to the affiliates4u.com website.
Founded in the US more than 10 years ago, Linkshare is a global leader in affiliate marketing solutions and works with US Fortune 500 clients and other high volume online merchants through their affiliate network in the US, Canada, Japan and now in the UK.
LinkShare offer an advantage to many segments of the affiliate sector as their tracking technology is not cookie-based, you don’t need to worry about lost transactions due to blocked cookies, or tracking pixels errors.
Its great to see such a grounded, experienced and respected network enter the UK market, and I hope this encourages innovation within the increasingly crowded network marketplace.
Affiliates4u.com Introduces Reputation Points for Members of the Affiliate Marketing Community
We have today enabled the option for users to vote on the quality of posts from fellow members of the community.
The affiliates4u.com user reputation system provides a way of rating users based on the quality of their posts. Users on the affiliate marketing forum can add or subtract reputation points from other users by clicking the reputation link in their posts.
The reputation platform allows users in the community to tell us and other members which users post in a quality, constructive and thought provoking manner, and likewise which members you should perhaps take less seriously within the affiliate marketing industry.

affiliates4u on your Blog
We’ve just launched a little wordpress plugin for adding the ‘backs’ feature to your blog. It’s very easy to incorporate and i’ve written a little page to help you set it up on affiliates4u.
Rather than repeat myself here i’ll just point you in that location. Let me know how you get on… I’ve tried to explain the steps involved and it’s really not that complicated. There’s also a javascript version for those people not on Wordpress, or Wordpress people who for some reason don’t like Plugins.
So please take a look and add to your blog, the more people that back your article the higher it goes on a4u!
Any questions give me a shout and i’ll try and help you out.
Investing in The Future of Affiliate Marketing
I’m not often amazed, but the team at eMomentum really have pulled off one of the best new sites I’ve seen in some time. Headed up by one of my good friends Duncan Jennings , who can often been seen at our many affiliate marketing events and who will be speaking at the a4uexpo affiliate marketing conference in October have launched www.welovelocal.com
A new competitor to the likes of yell.com, this is a local site with a twist as it has an excellent social networking features and community angle.
“We believe everyone’s a local expert. We all have a favourite local restaurant, know a friendly shopkeeper, or have used an ultra reliable tradesperson at one time or another. At welovelocal we want to put that local knowledge online.By inviting people to your network of Local Insiders, along with your friends and family, welovelocal becomes a great place to share your local knowledge, support your favourite businesses and benefit from those you can trust.”
The new site has a sticky vibe, commendable use of new technology, facebook widgets, API’s and the attention to detail across the site is breathtaking. Importantly for a growing new media company I imagine now that development has taken place it posesses low support and running costs, quite the opposite of say a cashback shopping portal - This site is also perfect for word of mouth and viral marketing.
Duncan has a strong background in Affiliate Marketing and after selling his first internet company at the age of 21 he continues to invest in creating good quality, content driven websites that add value to consumers - he recently sold another of his projects Travel Library to TripAdvisor LLC in 2006.
Whilst you could say the new site does not utilize pure affiliate marketing as we see it today, this is real shrewd and intelligent investment for the future CPA possibilities of the industry.
Linkshare Buys Leading Arbitrage Super Affiliate
I was very intriguied by the recent news that Linkshare has purchased one if its leading affiliate partners, TrafficStrategies.com, a US based search arbitrage company.
This to me opens up a huge number of questions regarding potential conflicts, and how this could affect the UK market in its current climate - I’ll let you do some thinking on that and hand over to Kristopher Jones, from Pepperjam who very accurately sums things up.
