Hold the taxi! - ad-tech, zanox academy, affiliate summit, buy.at pre-networking party

After the excellent Tradedoubler Summit last week, Where I spoke on ‘The Personlisation of the Web’ I’ll be attending a number of events this week.

I’ll be catching up with old friends at the ever expanding ad-tech London on Thursday afternoon - I’ve lost count of how many meetings that have been arranged! then heading over to the Zanox Academy power networking event where I am looking forward to meeting the CEO of Zanox, Thomas Hessler.

Its then over to the buy.at pre-networking party for Affiliate Summit, the guys and girls at buy.at know how to throw a bash! so one not to be missed.  I’m looking forward to meeting Shawn Collins and Missy Ward again, and naturally attending Affiliate Summit on the Friday.

All in all a busy few days for anyone involved in Affiliate Marketing, if anyone would like to meet up at any of the events feel free to contact me, I should be able to pick up all emails on my blackberry.

Thankfully we all have a rest until our very own a4uexpo which kicks off a month today!

Whats the next big thing?

Want to know? - Well if we had the answers we probably would be retiring in the Caribbean - but you can take a look at this new site. Killer Startups is a user driven internet startups community. Entrepreneurs, investors, and bloggers are staying informed on up-and-coming projects using their blog platform, where internet entrepreneurs submit their startup to see what others think about it.

The owners believe “the next YouTube” is going to be listed on the site sometime soon, we hope one day its one of our projects! but even if not, its a decent guide and idea incubator for you on what people are doing over the pond and globally!

A nifty feature gives visitors the option to vote on the idea with the options, Go IPO, Get $VC, Get Bought, Survive or Bomb! - Will you have the balls to upload your site?

One of the things that struck me when browsing the site was how ‘niche’ a number of the sites were, perhaps there is a lesson there for affiliates.

tip - subscribe to blog tags

A number of affiliates have found Google Alerts to be invaluable to get the latest news, updates and features on merchants, or in-fact any topic.

One of the new features over at affiliates4u that people are only just starting to get to grips with is the ability to subscribe to tags.

For instance here is an alert I just received helping me keep abreast on who is blogging about our upcoming a4uAwards ceremony and networking party.

Dear Matthew,

Below are the latest member blogs uploaded to the site which match your tag subscription.
