CAP Euro (Barcelona) a Huge Success

Claire and I have just returned from CAP Euro in Barcelona. It was one of the best Affiliate Marketing Conferences I’ve attended and whilst a little light on the speaker sessions and agenda the exhibition hall and networking opportunities proved to be invaluable and sets a decent precedent for the upcoming a4uexpo in just a couple of weeks time.

CAP Euro, which is dedicated purely to the Casino & Gaming sector is organised by Alex Pratt and iGamingBusiness and offers a decent alternative to the established CAC conference series (Casino Affiliate Convention) and dare I say I think it was actually better!

Our Affiliate Marketing portal Affiiates4u and a4uexpo were pleased to be a media partner for the event - something that we look forward to extending next year.

Our highlights were the blackjack.com launch party at ‘Joker’ in Barcelona, where we bumped into Tila Tequila entertaining the crowd in her own ‘special’ way -For those who do not know Tila she has over 2 Million friends on MySpace and is a social networking phenomenon who has spin offs of including a music single, clothing line and now predictably a poker room!

It was also an honour to meet Mr Texas Hold’em Doyle Bronson who gave a keynote speech at the conference - he practically invented the game as it’s played today.

Although parties and networking opportunities are integral to any successful event - it was such a breath of fresh air to speak to merchants and micro networks who are passionate and serious about the industry.

With the beta testing of our new online bingo site Bingo Beano it was great to strike countless deals, arrange be-spoke requirements and make new contacts that will benefit both parties in the coming months.

Finally - spot the picture of Claire next to the blue dice holding the a4uxpo poster / flyer - these half ton beasts were thrown down a mountain in Greenland in an awseome PR and marketing stunt -Just wish we could embed an affiliate link!
